Due to changes in the law, all traders who transport and dispose of waste must have the correct waste carriers license or face fines of up to £5000. Worryingly, people who unknowingly allow unlicensed contractors to dispose of their waste through nonofficial and illegal sources can also face fines of up to £5000 so it is imperative that you check the Environment Agency web site to make sure that the company you use is fully licensed. Any waste we can not recycle is disposed of at fully licensed waste transfer stations across the south of England.
